The Tokyo Chapter of JALT serves central Tokyo and Chiba. We are an active group with over 650 members consisting of language teachers at all levels of education as well as translators, publishers, and other language teaching professionals. We host regular events with local and international speakers on aspects related to language teaching in Japan.

TOKYO JALT RESEARCH GRANTS
The Tokyo JALT Chapter would like to announce a new research grant initative aimed at novice and Tokyo-area researchers.
• Two grants—one novice research grant of 10,000 yen and one general research grant of 30,000 yen—will be available in 2016 (depending on the number and quality of applications).
• Grants are available only to Tokyo JALT Chapter members (however, interested applicants are welcome to join the Chapter in order to apply).
• The application deadline has been EXTENDED to 23:59 JST December 16th, 2016.
